About Ben Risinger

I remember writing my own version of the play "Our Town" when I was a sophomore in high school. My English teacher, Mr. Levering, thought that it was so good he recommended that I go and talk with the journalism teacher about writing for the high school newspaper. I went and spoke with her and the next semester I was signed up for the intro to journalism class. That class led me to find my love of writing, the media and more!

Going into college, my father introduced me to a field that combines sports, writing, graphic design, website work and more — sports information. I thought, "this is incredible" and I wanted to be in communications ever since. I guess I was one of the lucky ones in school and I never changed my major. From the start at Anderson University, my major was communications. During school I did whatever I could to gain experience, writing for my college paper, The Andersonian, interning with numerous college and sports teams, working with non-profit groups and becoming a sportswriter for the Anderson Herald-Bulletin.

After school I went into a business venture, which was an incredible learning experience. I managed a coffee shop in downtown Indianapolis called Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe. From there I went back to my roots and received my first PR professional job as a sports information director at Bluffton University. At Bluffton I had my hands in all aspects of PR (media relations, website design & managment, marketing, leadership, graphic design and more) while being a sports information director. What a wonderful time I had learning the ropes of being a one-man Public Relations office.

Then I decided it was time to move into a different realm of Public Relations and I found myself living in Orlando, Florida. I joined with one of the leaders in the vacation homes industry, ALL STAR Vacation Homes. My position as Marketing Coordinator helped me gain an understanding of marketing and public relations that I never thought possible. I was involved in everything from PR, Marketing, print design, website design, photography and SEO to CPC and the list just goes on. Working with ALL STAR was a fantastic experience, but I knew that it was time to move on once more to the next step in my life and career. I now find myself living back in Indiana for the first time in five years. I must admit that I love downtown Indianapolis, and it has been great to be back and see the sight.

Working on graphic design, marketing and PR is kind of a passion of mine. I am truly passionate about the creative process and working on projects that push myself and my team to the limits. Let me know how we can help you!
